What kind of oil do you use in your Olds! Post it UP!!
There are so many threads about it so I figured this would be a good place to start a "what kind of oil do you use on your hot rod Olds" thread. Post it up! I personally use 7 qt of 20w-50 Supertech oil(Wal-Mart brand) and 1qt of Lucas Oil Stabilizer in my turbocharged 455 BBO for the last 5 years.

I use 20w50 synthetic because I'm trying to clean all the crap out of my abused, mistreated 307.

I'm using this when the cam is broke in. I am not sure what I will use yet after the break in. Normally use 10W30 Havoline.

Re: What kind of oil do you use in your Olds! Post it UP!!
Dello 400 15w40 it has more zinc in it then Rotella
but i have a stock pile of older pre 2007 Rotella 15w40 and Dello 400
BTW The mult SM oils I had tested all had approx 800-850ppm zddp you need 1200ppm+ to be affective stock cams it is so/so but if you have a performins cam I would run good oil with Zinc it in

Old oil, huh? Like my dad. An oil change takes an hour of searching for the oldest box of oil he has and useing that up first... He's got to have 30 cases of oil...

Re: What kind of oil do you use in your Olds! Post it UP!!
10w-30 Mobil 1 (full synthetic and mobil 1 oil filter).
I run Mobil 1 Clean 5000 in the colt because it's $11 for 5 qts at walmart with a k&n filter because mobil 1 stopped making filters for them and k&n's filter to the same micron as the mobil 1.
