What's his phone number, email and address? Sounds like time for some phone calls.

Re: There is a scammer among us!
yjosh is a longtime friend of mine (we went to highschool together...we see each other at least once every couple weeks) and a standup guy. He wouldn't be pulling this kind of public humiliation tactic if it wasn't necessary.

77omegaman last logged on at 7:16 pm yesterday. Should have seen his messages. Maybe edit your threads title so that his name is in it. That ought to get his attention.

Re: There is a scammer among us!
i also know Josh and agree with Drew, hes a decent guy and gave omegaman plenty of slack. if you have life problems you need to let anyone youre doing business with know that or refund the money until you get your act together.

His threads asking for help will be deleted until we get some sort of resolution to this dispute. If you are not going to follow through on obligations or speak up to explain yourself I don't think you should expect help from the board. If this has already been resolved I apologize for yanking the thread but will restore it in a heartbeat if all parties are satisfied.

Re: There is a scammer among us! Attention 77Omegaman
He has also failed to respond to ADMIN PM's requesting HIS side of the story.
Omega-man up, and let someone know what the deal is.

Re: There is a scammer among us! Attention 77Omegaman
If you sent him money then you have his address, right? Sounds like time for a road trip and an a$$ woopin! Sure you may spend more than you lost to head out there, but it's not about the money, it's the principle, right?

Re: There is a scammer among us! Attention 77Omegaman
a good thing about a money order over paypal is that you can get the authorities involved easier with mail fraud, correct? i've had a couple beefs with people not sending parts and paypal did get my money back so i cant complain about them.

Re: There is a scammer among us! Attention 77Omegaman
Update:
Still no response of any kind!
Drew and Scott, thanks for the words. I'm definately not out to get anyone that didn't screw me first. I did feel a little wierd marching in here as a new guy and pissing and moaning about a somewhat established member. With that being said, I know I'm pretty new here, but I've been a member over at v8buick for a number of years under the same name (although I don't post a ton, more of a lurker) and have excellent ebay feedback. As I mentioned to John in a PM a while back, this guy deserves a public stoning until he pays up or is driven out of this forum. I know the olds community has the potential to shrink up now that the brand is unfortunately dead, but if we as owners are so desperate to keep our numbers up that we welcome people like this into the fold, or even standby and allow them to be a part of our community, we might as well all just take our cars to the crusher now...
I offer a up a sincere thanks to all the mods here. thanks for the info you've provided me regarding the situation, and thanks for getting on this guy like a hawk everytime he sets foot in the forums.
By the way, everyone should know that wagons has stepped up and has an intake to sell me dirt cheap next time I'm down his way! I'm sure I can come up with a carb somewhere.
As for my situation, I did file a paypal dispute, but the dirtbag didn't respond (just like he didn't here). He had like 10 or 14 days or something like that, but did nothing. Paypal found in my favor, but scumbag closed his account, so I get no cash! Congratulations yjosh, you,re right, here's nothing!
I would certainly never wish violence on anyone. With that in mind, any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. I could use my $200 back as much as anyone. I'm not going to provide any of this guys personal info, but I will say that 5 minutes of search in this forum will get you a phone #, and a few hours in google will tell you all you more than you could ever want to know. Maybe a few PM's or contacts from well respected olds members will help straighten out our misguided youthful friend.
Josh (we've got the same name, confusing isn't it), if you're reading this, Why don't you give us a response, even if it's just to tell us we are right about you?

Re: There is a scammer among us! Attention 77Omegaman
I'm sorry there are people like this using our forum. 99% of the folks here are good upstanding people.
What is bad, IMO, is that Omegaman had been (up to this point) a good member. Posting questions and the like, and mingling just fine. I guess what irritated (well still does) is that he would rather HIDE, then PM someone (Admin perhaps) a simple "here is what happend" PM.... but no. He ignored me too. So what am I to do as ADMIN? Sadly there is nothing I can do about the money lost. What I CAN do is prevent him from posting, but that will just tell him... he won, and he got away with ripping someone off.
So here is what needs to happen. Yjosh, Please post a thorough feedback in our feedback section. ANY memeber seeing Omegaman online should kindly remind him that he needs to man up. Be civil about it, but let him know we are all watching.
If he shuts off his PM's let me know... I'll delete all of them and turn it back on.... well i think I'll delete all his PM's anyway.
On the other side of this, NO ONE, knows Omegamans side of the story except he had a death in the family. OK, mourn... but clean up the loose ends when you get back to living.
Its a sad time here at OP when we have to deal with crap like this.
John
