Default power windows.

ok i got the motor out and all the wires of course are disconnected. when i did this i left the windows open/down is there an easier way to get power to them rather then taking of the door panels and giving direct power to the motors? i guess what im asking is, does anyone have a picture on what wires under the hood need power to do this since i have tons of access to those.

I'm thinking it would actually be easier to hot wire the window motor with a cheap extension cord than trying fo find the proper wire in the firewall connector. Just go from a battery to the power window switch on the driver's side. Or better yet, take out the power window circuit breaker and apply power to one side of that.

Power window C/B is at the top of the fuse block, marked WDO. Power seat C/B is on the lower right... if equipped. You'll need to ground the battery you're using to the car in order to hot wire the windows at the circuit breaker.

If the engine harness is still in the vehicle, all you have to do is apply power to one of the two fusible link wires (or both simutaneously) that were attached to the starter......with power to the links and a good ground, turn ignition to on and raise the windows...........As a precaution, make aure the alternator wire is not touching any metal areas........
