I talk to a lot of people(Different make engines) who have bought the billit HEI very similar to this, but a different brand name, and theyve ended up rebuilding a factory unit because the engine wouldnt run right with the shiny parts.

Id ask around a lot before buying these types of "New" parts, its not a deal if you have to replace internals or send it back a few times.

Just throw some parts at it, you might get lucky and fix it.

Well.. also in this case you have to remember.. if it looks to good to be true it probably is... i bought a Summit branded HEI unit for my engine... its not shiny.. its new but rather boring looking.. but it never missed a beat.. it actually works better than my old hei with a MSD 6AL box ... it wasnt that cheap either.. around $170

Wysco makes a pretty good piston. Got a buddy who runs them in a turbo Ford Probe. Never even heard they make distributors though....
