Default No blower at all

Okay new blower relay, just fixed the big red wire, was burnt and disconnected. I just pulled apart the dash to get at the switch. I had a spare switch so I hooked it up, still nothing. I checked for power at the brown and white wire at the switch, nothing. I just jumped power to that wire, all speeds work. The A/C fuse looked good. Looks like problem between the fuse and this wire, according to the wiring diagram. Ground at the blower motor and relay are good. Of course, I found burnt wires to the lighter. Got to love burnt, melted wires. They go a different direction. I also have 4 wires that look to go to a smaller gauge heat shrank connectors, looks factory. I am think it may be part of the burnt wire mess. The wiring sucks on this car. Of course the A/C wiring doesn't work either and no power to that wire now either. Looks like same fuse for both.

If there is a fuse-able link on that circuit, I think that is the problem.

There used to be a funny problem with G-bodies that I ran across back in my tech days. Open the glove box and look behind the cardboard dealio. There is a reddish/brown (going way back in memory here) connector that goes bad. Might not be your problem, but an easy check and it was something I saw more than once.

Thanks, an easy fix for this would be nice. The rest of the wiring needs work, melted wiring is not fun or safe.

That red wire comes off the starter, seems they burn quite often. I found a burnt connector on the brown wire going in the control head. Cut it out, fixed and now have all blower speeds. I have power to the A/C relay, but it does not switch out to the A/C compressor. The wiring diagram doesn't show an A/C relay. What does the brown wire feed too from A/C relay? Ground or power? The light green carries power and originally went to the computer also. The green/black goes to the compressor. Found the mystery wires went nowhere, added by someone into the fuse box. Nearly all the wiring issues fixed now.

They are tied up. Actually the connector on the red wire was melted, half way up the motor. It was this way when I got the car. The wiring on this car was hacked, computer removed. The wires were just unhooked. No air or cruise when I got the car. Big hole in the A/C line and burnt wiring. Burnt red high wire too. Still haven't got the A/C compressor to turn on properly. Quaz mentioned how ****ty the wiring is on these cars. You could tell it was how the future of GM was going, junk. Still no cruise. Nice car but the wiring is crap. Factory stuff burnt and not working properly. Someone added on stuff then just cut the end, I just cleaned up that mess. Better, but still needs work.
